Built with the $17 million’s worth of game assets released by Epic Games after the closure of Paragon, Predecessor isn’t meant to be a remake of that MOBA, but rather a title designed to stand on its own, albeit with familiar characters.
The game recently shifted to Unreal Engine 5 development, but the studio says that hasn’t impacted the planned release of its Early Access due out later this year. You can expect 19 heroes and a 5v5 mode when it hits.
